Vivo Xplay now official, features True HD display and SnapDragon 600 processor

Amid an endless sea of low-cost Chinese handsets of dubious quality, there are a few hidden gems just waiting to be discovered. One of these gems looks to be the Vivo Xplay, the officially announced flagship from Vivo.
The Vivo Xplay features the same kind of hardware specs as you would expect from bigger players like Samsung, HTC and Sony. That means you get an impressive 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T processor with an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. This beast also packs a 13MP main cam, 5MP front cam, a 3200 mAh battery, a 5-inch full HD display and three different HiFi chips for providing an exceptional audio experience.
What really makes these Chinese handsets impressive though is often the pricing compared to the hardware. Even on the high-end, Chinese handset pricing often is enough to make those of us in Europe and North America more than a little jealous.
Right now we don’t know an official price, but it is rumored to target 3599 Yuan, or about $594. If the rumor proves true, $600 is a hell of a good deal considering how solid the hardware is. It is also great to see the handset rocking a Qualcomm processor instead of a lower-powered local brand like MediaTek.
Unfortunately we also don’t know exactly when it is coming to China. When it does surface, it likely won’t be available outside of the country for months after its launch, if ever.
If the Vivo Xplay did ever manage to make its way to a market near you, would you be interested in picking this one up?
