OUYA console allows 3D printing of case, thanks to Makerbot partnership
And since Kickstarter backers will get their consoles starting today, having a custom case makes things even more exciting. According to the press release, all you need is the SDK and the designs, which are optimized for the MakerBot Replicator 2 Desktop 3D printer.
If you have said 3D printer, things are simple. If you don’t, it will set you back $2,199, but money shouldn’t get in the way of happiness, should it?
On the other hand, the designs are customizable, and you can play with colors and patterns to make the console (which is said to launch with support for NES, SNES and N64 game emulation) your own.
